England.

wife were assassinated.
In 1919 (on June 28) The Treaty of Versailles formally ended World
War I.
Invasions:
On
June 6, 1944, D-Day: Allies invaded Normandy Beach in World War
II.
On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union.
On June 25, 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea, beginning the
Korean War. The United States intervened on the side of South
Korea.
