City Tech Students score 100 on Teacher Certification Exam

Students in New York City Technical College’s teacher education programs posted pass rates of 100 percent on the 1999-00 liberal arts and sciences test. All 14 students passed the test, and 11 out of 12, 92 percent, passed the teaching skills test.

The 1999-2000 academic year was the first year City Tech was listed in the teacher certification exam booklet and reported as part of the CUNY colleges participating in the exams.

City Tech educates technology teachers to work in middle and high schools to prepare students to meet the state learning standards in technology with emphasis on engineering design, tools, resources and technological processes; computer technology; technological systems; and the history, evolution and management of technology. #
