Verifying Physicians’ Credentials

Medversant Technologies has released a powerful (on line) credentials verification tool for the health care industry. WebCVO 3.0 lets a practitioner create a single, centralized credentials verification application that may be accessed by multiple users, including health plans, hospitals and medical groups, for verification of credentials information. This centralized credentialing application allows a practitioner to be credentialed only once for all the participating health care organizations, rather than multiple times, as would occur if each organization performed its own credentialing. In this way, WebCVO eliminates wasteful, duplicative credentialing and spreads credentialing costs across all the participating health care organizations.

According to CEO Matt Haddad, “Medversant’s credentials verification system will revolutionize the credentialing process in hospitals, health plans and other organizations and it will cut costs. If most large health care systems adopted WebCVO the US health care industry would save over $1 billion in administrative costs each year. WebCVO will also reduce exposure to medical errors from unqualified practitioners.” Built for the Web on a flexible database platform, Medversant has plans to introduce its software to other industries required to credential professionals such as engineering, finance, legal and accounting, and education.
