On December 8, 2004, Governor George
Pataki presented the students of the Lycee Francais of New
York a Certificate of Recognition “for
your wonderful commitment to the Empire State as illustrated
by the success of the Community Service Program through
which your student body has achieved 4,000 hours of service
during the 2003-04 academic year. Such vision in implementing
this wonderful initiative is commendable, as young service
providers and their beneficiaries are mutually rewarded.
An expression of gratitude is offered for the variety and
quantity of assistance given to the needy by your students
who likewise benefit from learning about the exceptional
work carried out by humanitarian organizations in New York.
