Offered by Finch College
The
majority of people today find it increasingly difficult to keep
up with the cost of education. At Finch College, the Alumnae Association
Foundation has taken great strides in ameliorating the situation
through the generosity of its members and friends.
A one-time $1ergraduate study
at an accredited four-year college in The United States.
Each applicant must submit a letter of no more than 1,000
words that explains how the grant would be used and why it
is needed, along with a current curriculum vitae, college
transcript(s), two letters of recommendation, and the address,
telephone number, and name of all college and universities
attended,,500 grant will be awarded to a Community College
student (over the age of 22) entering und including attendance
dates and degree(s) received. Also required are proof of
age and social security number. All applications must be
completed by April 15, 2006.
The Foundation’s Education Committee will evaluate all applications
on the basis of need, qualifications, and the extent to which
the grant will be used effectively. Each recipient will be required
to furnish a quarterly report evidencing that the grant was
or is being used for the purpose approved by the Board of Trustees;
a transcript of the grantee's grades when and as issued by the
educational institution attended by the recipient. The winner
will be notified by May 1, 2006. Applications should be submitted
